Veterinary
health including vaccination, euthanasia, disease recognition etc
This full 2 day course covers modules on understanding current legislation,
feed and water hygiene and management systems, implications of wheat feeding
and coccidiostats. An overview of bird anatomy, disease causng agents and
controls. Stockmanship tasks, disease recognition and actions. Also the second
part gives a better understanding of the immune system and the need for vaccination
by various methods. Practical sessions as required are included.
Series of Modulised Courses:
The above course is modulised and individual
modules can be selected and or courses tailored as required for shorter one
or half day courses (or added to a welfare module) from a range including
the following e.g.

Course & Assessment
The above sample
of courses include current regulations and codes of practice and necessary
records that need to be maintained. The subject matter is delivered from
a practical persepective wherever possible and targeted at the producer and
applicable sector. The onus is on maintaining high welfare controls and implementing
appropriate measures to counter potential problems through a better understanding.
